SHAD VALLEY

Shad Valley is a recognized, award-winning, university-based educational and leadership program for exceptional students in grades 10, 11 and 12.  For the full month of July, students live in residence at one of 10 participating university campuses across Canada and focus on science, engineering, technology and entrepreneurship.  The experience fosters the students' drive for excellence and innovation.

Help us get the word out to your top students about this remarkable program.  The students who participate are leaders in their schools and volunteers in their communities.  Many are gifted musicians, artists and athletes.  They become business leaders, patent holders, Top 20 Under 20 winners, Top 40 Under 40 honourees and Rhodes Scholars, to list a few of their accomplishments.

You and your Board can assist by letting the schools in your jurisdiction know that you support this initiative, and by encouraging them to bring it to the attention of their best and brightest students.  Brochures, applications and posters have been sent directly to many of your schools.

Importantly, Shad Valley offers significant financial aid based on merit or financial need, including:
• bursaries to assist students financially and ensure accessibility to Shad Valley for all students (Travel bursaries are available as supplementary support.)

• scholarships that are granted based on the overall strength of the application

• post-secondary scholarships, exclusively for Shad Valley alumni, from several leading Canadian universities (Visit our website at [ http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?llr=4gbxs7dab&et=1103754326367&s=875&e=001X-ekiOHnIOM28gF-0o2CLRWMYCrMfUhEfy-_a8XjiXW306GhceEJ83rmYYKWeFath6phLwF1i0CicnRqYTRb1raQl2tZqNeS85yIC5NA5_kVl8TOiZGgK6QtwWIZU7gg ]www.shad.ca/scholarships for full details.)
