Celebrate Book Week 2009 In Your School or Library!

TD Canadian Children’s Book Week is Canada’s largest celebration of Canadian children’s and teen books and their creators.
Visit www.bookweek.ca and see how your school or library can join in the fun by hosting
an author, illustrator or storyteller during Book Week – November 14 – 21, 2009

Seven talented authors, illustrators and storytellers will be touring Ontario this November.
The deadline to apply to host a reading is September 30, 2009.
Application forms will be available starting July 15 at www.bookweek.ca.

The official theme this year is Gold Medal Reading! and Book Week will celebrate sports in preparation for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games which will be held on home soil in Vancouver, BC just a few months after Book Week. Our annual Book Week Kit will feature a theme guide with a list of sports-related books and activities for teachers and librarians to share with their students.
